Having gained an in-depth training from several bespoke leather workshops both at home and overseas, I set up my company in 1987 to specialise in the design and manufacture of high quality leatherwear and accessories. My studio is based in The Tower, Trinity College Enterprise Centre, Pearse Street, in the heart of Dublin, where I have been situated since 1989. During the nineties I studied fine art, graduating in 2000. These two disciplines now nurture my present work.

Design work

Over the years I have built up a devoted clientele at home and abroad who appreciate the understated elegance of my designs. The clothes are distinctive due to a combination of things, namely, a complete understanding of my materials, full knowledge of and respect for traditional methods, in addition to well honed skills. The result is high quality, hand-made garments. My online design catalogue exhibits a selection of images and visitors are welcome to my studio to view current work. A unique collection can also be found in ‘The Design Centre’ in Powerscourt Townhouse, Dublin.

Art Work

In the early nineties, having established my design business, I returned to college to study fine art. This culminated in 2000 with a first class honours degree from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire. Since then I have exhibited and sold my artworks both at home and abroad. In 2003 I merged my design business with my developing art practice. This change in direction seemed a natural step in my ongoing development as an artist and designer.
